Last week BGS Rail has successfully transported 3500 tons of grain in its own grain wagons, delivering the goods from Miropol station to Chornomorsk Export station. It was the first time when the company acted both – as an operator and shipper. In total, 51 wagons were involved in the transportation, the customer was the manufacturing company “Argoregion-Ukraine”.
To remind, that BGS Rail began operating its own wagons in August 2020, but has already proved itself as a successful, reliable company that is able to fulfill all the requirements for the independent transportation of goods.
The company has already won subsequent tenders for the transportation of 10,5 thousand tons of corn, which will be delivered from Boryspil station to the port of Nikolaev, and from Meropol station to Chernomorskaya Export station. At the same time, BGS Rail is participating in a tender for the transportation of 65 thousand tons of grain cargo.
The dynamics show that being both – an operator and a shipper – is more profitable than just leasing the wagons. Thus, BGS Rail plans to further develop in this direction. The company is constantly attracting new customers. At the moment top-management of the company is holding negotiations with Nibulon – one of the largest grain traders on the Ukrainian market. The state of such negotiations already promises prospective cooperation for both parties.
