On October 28th BGS Rail took a part in online Meeting with Irakli Ezugbaya, Head of Freight Transportation of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” (UZ), organized by American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
Meeting’s objective was to discuss the UZ plans for tariff policy for railway freight transportation.
During the meeting, UZ expressed its intention to divide the cargo owners and owners of rolling stock. As per initial plan, there should be two different contracts or cargo owners and owners of rolling stock, while UZ is planning to protect cargo owners in the first place.
BGS Rail, on its turn, opposed such division of customers. The management of the company, in its turn, willing to provide an alternative proposal – to divide not the customers, but the services provided by UZ, into transportation services and into services for the supply of rolling stock and related additional services.
Further actions will depend on the Draft Financial Plan, which should be available for review in the near future.
